Executive Education Seminars
Our educational programs focus on the issues that support your family business through the management, operation and long-term health and success of the family business. Our seminar series features leading experts in the field of family business presenting issues of interest to family businesses. Past speakers included Leon Gorman of L.L.Bean, Roger Berkowitz of Legal Seafoods, Barry & Elliot from Jordan’s Furniture, Alan Spoon from The Washington Post.
Peer Groups
Our Peer Groups programs provide business owners and emerging leaders an opportunity to meet and discuss their challenges with their counterparts in a confidential setting. Center Peer Groups are confidential groups of 10-15 family business members, meeting every other month, to discuss matters of business and personal interest. Issues are determined by the groups and cover a wide spectrum of topics ranging from strategy development, to financial reporting, succession planning, conflict resolution, leadership development, compensation issues, sibling rivalry, and the hiring of family and non-family employees.
In addition to these programs membership also includes many other valuable benefits.
Since 1991, The Northeastern University Center for Family Business has been helping generations of successful family businesses navigate the complex landscape of their family business to create greater harmony within the family and to ensure continued success for the business.
